Volunteers are the Lifeline of our Organization
If volunteering is something that's been on your "To Do" list - don't put it off any longer. Wings makes it easy for you by tailoring programs to suit your interests, needs, skills and time availability. You may choose to work directly from your home or "on-site" at our Head Office.
Do you possess a genuine appreciation and respect for wildlife? Have a few hours a day, week or month to devote to our rehabilitation efforts?
Our need for volunteers is especially great from April to November.
Volunteer Positions
Clinic Volunteers choose to spend their volunteer time assisting in the day to day care of wildlife patients housed in the centre at Wings.
Student Volunteers are eager young people who join our volunteer program to complete their school community hours.
Emergency Drivers serve as Wings "Ambassadors of Goodwill", providing reliable transportation services to bring wildlife quickly and safely into care. Volunteers can be "on-call" or can agree to cover specific time periods.
Receiving Homes are neighbourhood drop-off points which offer a safe, temporary haven and initial care for incoming wildlife patients until transfer can be arranged to the species coordinator.
Foster Parents are caring individuals and families who have opened their hearts and their homes to the "hands-on" nurturing and raising of our abandoned and motherless orphans of the wild.
